RPI Engineering Rover V8

RPI Engineering Rover V8

RPI is a very well known company that specialise in refurbishing Rover V8 engines. The engines are made better than new giving much bigger power outputs. The engines find their way into all sorts of vehicles. From Defenders to Range Rovers and the Land Rover Discovery. They are also used in many sports cars. The Ultima GTR and the Can Am mated to a Porsche G50 or Hewland tansaxle makes an awesome combination.

The RPI V8 is also used in TVR and Morgan sports cars along with many self build and kit cars. The engine lends itself very well to LPG conversions which is a great way of saving money. LPG is only about 50p per litre at the moment less than 1/2 the price of petrol.

The MD of Speedshift ran an RPI 4 litre V8 in a classic Range Rover for many years. The car was really special with Quaife differentials which are similar to the Torsen diff used in the Audi Quattro.
